How do I book a tour with LA Gym Tours?+
Pick a public Departure on our tour page and book one Seat per guest online. Online booking closes 12 hours before the start time. After booking, every guest signs our waiver online before the tour.
What is your cancellation and rescheduling policy?+
Public Departures can be cancelled free of charge up to 48 hours before the start time, and you can reschedule yourself online up to the same point. Private Tours can be cancelled or rescheduled free of charge up to 72 hours before.
Will my tour run if I am the only guest?+
Yes. Every public Departure runs, even with just one guest. Groups are capped at about 12 guests, the capacity of our van.
How fit do I need to be?+
No fitness level is needed. It is a tour, not a workout: there is no training session. There is lots of walking, especially on the Venice Beach Boardwalk, so wear comfortable walking shoes.
What is included in the Seat price?+
Your all-inclusive Seat covers van transport between all Stops, driven by your coach, guided visits to every Stop, your coach's storytelling on Golden Era history, a healthy lunch, and an LA Gym Tours t-shirt. A professional photo/video package is available as an optional $79 add-on.
Is there a minimum age?+
Yes. All guests must be 18 or older. Every guest signs our waiver online before the tour, and you should bring a valid photo ID.
Where is the meeting point?+
Every tour starts and ends at a single Meeting Point in Venice, a short walk from Gold's Gym Venice. Your coach confirms the exact spot before your Departure and drives the group in our van between every Stop.
Do you offer private tours?+
Yes. Private Tours start from $999 for up to 4 guests, plus $150 for each extra guest. Request a date on our Private Tours page and we will plan the day around your group.
Do you sell gift cards?+
Yes. Gift cards are a great present for any Golden Era or fitness-history fan visiting LA. You can buy one on our Gift Cards page.
What happens if the weather is bad?+
Southern California weather is mild most of the year, and tours run in light rain or coastal fog. If conditions ever make the tour unsafe, we will contact you before your Departure to arrange a new date.
Should I tip my coach?+
Tipping is never required, but it is customary for guided tours in the United States and always appreciated if you enjoyed your day.

No. LA Gym Tours is an independent tour company. We are not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by Gold's Gym or any venue we visit.
